I've already voted for Dash Command but I should second True Launch Bar and AutoHotkey**?**, which I use in conjunction with Dash Command. All three are great for different purposes.

You can put ANYTHING in it, and it's not too much of a resource hog.

My favorite aspect, though, is that several ToolBoxes**?** can co-exist on your desktop at a time. I have 5 of them on my desktop, each one representing a general category and populated with shortcuts to the apps that fit the categories. It's a great organizational app.

Windows built in shortcut keys: I hit Ctrl+Alt+D - BOOM, my dictionary is up I hit Ctrl+Alt+O - BOOM, my Outlook is up I hit Ctrl+Alt+M - BOOM, my Mindmanager is up I hit Ctrl+Alt+B - BOOM, my BibleWorks**?** is up etc. etc. etc.

AutoHotkey**?** I am using my own little skript that starts after pressing “`” and waits for two seconds for a three letter alias, like “ffx”, which would then launch Firefox.
